It’s Giving Season

Over the course of my 10-week internship at Energy BBDO, I collaborated with an amazing team of interns on a summer-long project where we pitched a winning campaign to Ulta Beauty. Ulta gave us the task of helping them transform themselves into the top beauty destination for Gen Z during the 2023 holiday season and we simplified this ask down to these four points. 

Strategic Idea: Beauty is a gift of self-exploration.

Problem: Beauty products are the third least favorite gift that Gen Z receives.

Insight: It’s not that Gen Z don’t want beauty products as gifts, beauty is just an overwhelming space to find the right one, whether you’re the gifted or giftee.

Big Idea: When you give who you are, you get what you want.
